NEWSFEED RSS http://news.radio-online.com In Brief – December 19, 2008 Bubba the Love Sponge inks a contract extension with Sirius XM Radio to continue to host 3-7pm Monday through Thursday and 10am-2pm Fridays on Howard 101. Bubba joined the satcaster in September, 2005 after being ousted from WXTB-FM/Tampa by Clear Channel citing "standards and sensibilities" of the local communities. "I will continue the radio revolution with Howard Stern on Sirius XM," said Bubba the Love Sponge. "I am pleased to have a long-term home on satellite radio." "Bubba has become an important asset at satellite radio," added President/Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein. "His performance and loyal fan base are an important part of our future." Bubba returned to broadcast radio in January, 2008 on Cox Radio's WHPT-FM (102.5 The Bone)/Tampa and WFYV-FM (Rock 105)/Jacksonville, both Classic Rock outlets. (12-19-08)
